John Bruschetti, 83, of the town of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on November 21, 2022. He was born to the late Giacomo and Teresa Bruschetti on January 27, 1939 in Palermo, Sicily, and immigrated to the United States in 1966. He married Francesca Bruschetti in Villabate, Sicily on January 16, 1967.
John was a Co-Founder of J&F Pizzeria, Newburgh, NY in 1973 with his brother Frank. He was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, and was an active member of the Circolo Italiano. He enjoyed singing, playing cards and playing bocce in his free time.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Francesca; his children: James Bruschetti of Boynton Beach, FL and John Bruschetti of Newburgh; his 3 grandchildren, Giovanni, Tomasso, Giancarlo; 14 nieces and nephews whom he adored; his brother, Frank Bruschetti, and sisters: Rosa Pace, Gina Zarcone and Cathy Reis. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Anna Bruschetti, and his nephew, Giulio Pace.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28 from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, followed by mass at Sacred Heart Church at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
