Carol A. Adams, a resident of Tuckahoe, died on June24, 2025. She was 80.

Carol was born on November 5, 1944 in Staten Island, NY to the late Edward and Sarah (Strachan) Cunningham. She attended McKee High School and Staten Island Community College. On September 14, 1963 she married Joseph Adams at St. Michael's Church in Mariner's Harbor, Staten Island and raised their 3 children there. Joseph was a NYC transit authority train conductor and passed away on February 2, 1981.

Carol worked for the NYPD at the Midtown South Precinct as a Police Matron and switchboard operator along with other various administrative functions. Carol retired to St. Petersburg Florida for 30 years before moving to Tuckahoe.

Carol is survived by her 3 children Joseph (Michelle) Adams, Robert Lee (Marcia) Adams and Valerie Marie Richard) Adams-Hexner; her nine grandchildren: Olivia, Eli-Julius, Robert Jr., Kristen, Martina, Camaro, Holando, Leonardo and Skylar Belle; her nieces and nephews : Regina, Colleen, Patricia, Edward, Jr., Tonia Lynn, Jessica, Jason, Kathy, Shawn, Melissa, Adam. Cecelia, Junel and William..

In Addition to her husband Joseph, Carol was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth Bahr, Edward Cunningham, Thomas Cunningham and Vincent Cunningham.; her niece Michelle Cunningham and nephew Malik Adams. She was also predeceased by her uncle John Patrick Cunningham.

Visiting hours will be Sunday from 1-5 pm. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Hills Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
