John Oliver Burdick Jr. age 54, of Eagle, Michigan and formerly of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 13, 1971, in Battle Creek, the son of John and Laura E. (Mack) Burdick Sr. He attended Marshall Schools and graduated in 1988 from Bellevue High School. John was a contractor, owning and running his own business. He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing with his son, enjoying his swimming pool and his dogs. John loved his family and children. He married Kristy in 1996, she preceded him in death in December 2004. He then married Jennifer Lenneman and a had a daughter Jocelynn and then divorced. He met Ronica Swayney and had a son Bailey. John enjoyed making wonderful memories with his family and his many friends. He is survived by his children; Jocelynn and Bailey Burdick, mother, Laura E. Mack of Battle Creek, sister Michelle (Zeb) Olsen of Paw Paw, brother, Adam Vasquez and his children, Ava and Slater; a niece and nephew, Lauren and Zachary Agnone, uncle, Paul Burdick, aunts, Linda (Gerry) Graff, Sallie (Randy) Chapin, Karen (Richard) Perkins and Nancy Burdick/McGuire. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in John’s memory may be made to the family.
