I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Callinan at Lisa and Trent's wedding and brunch a few years ago. He was such a gracious person and I enjoyed our conversation. It seemed I had known him for years. I will never forget my wonderful visit to the Callinan home.

One of my first partners was John Callinan. Of course, I was a rookie so he didn't talk to me for a week or more. One of the best cops. I will always have good memories of John.

To The Callinan Family:
Our deepest sympathies go out to all of the family at this time. Although we never had the privelege to meet John I am sure he was a great man based on how his son Pat turned out. We have been lucky to be a friend of Pat's for quite a few years now and we hope he and the rest of the family know that people care and are thinking and praying for him and the family.
God Bless.

John's Family:
I had the honor and pleasure of working with John on the vice unit in the 80's and knew him to be a kind and honorable officer. He could always find the good in someone and make even the toughest charactors smile. I pray your time of sorrow is brief and your hearts are lightened by your memories.

I had the privilege of working with John on MPD. We have not seen each other for many years but I have many fond memories of him. John was truly one of the "good guys" and my sympathy goes out to his family. He will by missed by all of his buddies on MPD.
