John Carter Obituary

John was born on September 2, 1973 in Washington, DC. He was deeply passionate about serving God. John completed his doctorate of theology and enjoyed ministering to the underprivileged in his community. He was a social person and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially playing games and doing crafting activities.
John is survived by his parents, Charles and Karen Carter; his sister and her husband, Katherine and Salvatore Bavuso; and their children, Matthew, Jacob, Ellie and Em Bavuso.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on June 7, 2025, at White Stone Methodist Church in White Stone, VA with a reception to follow at the church. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate John's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of Dr. John Carter.
