It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Randy Case, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on March 7, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on May 30, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, John was the cherished son of the late John L. and Evelyn Marie (nee Eberhart) Case.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy from August 1965 to August 1969, spending over a year overseas. His service instilled in him a great sense of honor and dedication, qualities that would define his life. After returning home, a chance encounter at a speakeasy led him to meet the love of his life, Mary Dianne Arrowwood, whom he married on June 9, 1973, with the support and encouragement of her family. Together, they created a warm and loving home, welcoming the joy of their three children: Kellee, Brandon, and Tyler.
For many years, John devoted his professional life to caring for others as a nursing home administrator. His passion for helping people continued into his semi-retirement, when he enjoyed working at Home Depot in Harrison, where he relished the opportunity to meet new faces and engage with the community. John was an avid sports fan, cheering enthusiastically for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and he found joy in golfing with his brother. He nurtured gardens filled with beautiful roses and was dedicated to reading the newspaper daily to stay connected with the world around him. John was always up for an afternoon outing to Kroeger to buy things for Dianne, even when he was starting to get very sick it brightened his day.
One of John's most endearing qualities was the loving gesture of bringing his wife, Dianne, her morning coffee each day for 52 wonderful years. Their bond, nurtured through countless memories and shared experiences, created a family of love and support. He was a wonderful father to: Kellee (Ronnie) Case Carroll, Brandon Case and Tyler (Chelsey) Case. John cherished his role as a grandfather, finding immense joy in his grandchildren: Aydan, Prestyn, Trenton, Braydon, Jaxon, Dillon, Waylon, June Annalee, and twins Miller and Jones Case, as well as his bonus grandchildren: Kendra "Sunshine" Turner, Clay, and Cody Carroll. He was also proud to have his brother, James Case, and sister-in-law, Marie (Duane) Hall, by his side.
A faithful member of New Berlington Church of Christ, John's spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for John Randy Case will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, Harrison, on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 11 AM until the time of the service at 12 PM with Pastor Jon Underwood officiating. Following the service, burial with military honors, provided by the Harrison Honor Guard and the US Navy, will take place at Glen Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to New Berlington Church of Christ. A representative from the funeral home will be available to accept memorials during the services.
John Randy Case leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
