Survivors: Jack will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Michael Contakes of Bethlehem; sister, Helene Transue of Bethlehem; niece Tami (Kolesnik) Young who he raised and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews serving as God Father to many of them.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial with his spouse will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jack's name to Moravian Village, 526 Wood Street Bethlehem, PA 18018.

My name is Kim and I used to sit with Jack early morning in the upper deck. At the Moravian village, we would have coffee. And he would tell me all his stories and speak so highly of his wife, he will such a pleasure to have around he would laugh. We would laugh, I'm really gonna miss him. Michael and Helen, you were truly blessed with one great brother. I am sorry for your loss, Jack. I will always remember you. Thanks for the laughter and the talks.
