John H. "Pete" Corhn, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully, Monday, March 16th, 2026 in Etowah, NC at his residence at the age of 85. He was born in Hendersonville, NC, to Mollie Corn on February 25th, 1941.

He was married to Shirley Ann Robinson, now deceased and they had two children, Glenn (Shawn) Corhn and Karen Ellis both of Hendersonville. He later married Norma Jean Corhn, they were married 41 years.

He also had two step children, Dana Stiglitz (Tom) of Campobello, SC and Ed Willner, deceased. He has one living sister, Virginia (Beck) Steadman of Hendersonville and Mary and Ettalee, both deceased. He has nine grandchildren, Christie Hayes, Coary Willner (Kammie), Shannon Dager (Tyler), Allyson Warren (Casey), Joshua Ellis, Daniel Corhn (Malorie) Carly Malvano (Dylan) Molly Hill (Hunter), Danielle Simcox (Michael) and 21 great grandkids. He was looking forward to two more coming this May. He loved being a grandfather and a great grandfather. He had two lifelong friends, that are like brothers, JE Young and Dardy Hipps.

Pete worked at Ecusta for 42 years. He was on the golf course whenever he could be. He also enjoyed waterskiing and boating. He was an avid Braves fan and loved race car driver Harry Gant. He and his wife enjoyed working puzzles, and always had one on their dinning room table. They also enjoyed watching the Braves games together.

He will be so missed by all of the family.

We will be having a celebration of life at the Etowah Methodist Church, Sunday March 29th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. A reception will follow the service where the family will meet with friends.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery.
