John Coulter Obituary John W. Coulter, 83 of Westville, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born November 28, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana to Glenn and Bessie (Bessler) Coulter. On July 10, 1977 he married Jean Bechinski who survives. John is also survived by his children Mark (Stacey) Coulter and Michael (Char) Coulter, both of Westville; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two stepsons Jeff (Sheila) Bechinski of Wanatah and Steven (Liz) Bechinski of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son John Coulter, his grandson Colin Coulter, his brother Carl Coulter and his parents. John was a member of the LaPorte Co. Row, Pcart, Sunday Farmers and the Johnny Poppers. He was a lifetime farmer on his grandfather's farm. He attended the Door Village United Methodist Church, served on the Westville School Board for 20 years and also served on the LaPorte County Drainage Board. He and his wife Jean owned and operated Coulters Produce and Pumpkin Patch in Westville for many years. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 1st at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville. Pastor Gene Flickinger will officiate. Private family burial will take at Westville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Operation Smile, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 758588, Topeka, KS 66675-9939.
