John DeForge Obituary
COLONIE - John D. DeForge, 78, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Inn of Community Hospice.
John was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Bernadette E. Pagano DeForge. John is survived by William J. O'Toole and Kelly A. O'Toole, who he cherished as family, along with nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Colonie Central High School Class of 1965, where he enjoyed basketball. John was a member of the United States Army, in which he served his country. He was a retired member of the Albany Police Department, and retired in 1989 to operate his family farm, DeForge Farm and Greenhouses. John was also a former President of the Menands Farmers Market Cooperative, and served on the board for many years in various roles.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m., at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Club, One Penny Lane, Latham, N.Y. 12110.
