John Emil Dobransky

Mr. John Emil Dobransky, age 70, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 11, 1955, in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Emil G. Dobransky and the late Margaret Oates Dobransky. Mr. Dobransky worked for Consolidated Edison Utilities as an engineering inspector until his retirement and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris, SC. He loved freshwater fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, hockey, and ending the day with ice cream topped with the little round sprinkles that always made him happy.
Survivors include his loving wife of seven years, Janice Dobransky; sons, James Dobransky (Valerie), and Jesse Dobransky (Cheyenne); brother, William Dobransky (Susan); sister, Susan Schwenk (James), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and his beloved dog, Hattie.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dobransky was predeceased by his sister, Jeanne Dobransky.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection with Father Francis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, at Hardwick Funeral Home with a vigil prayer service beginning at 5:00 pm at Hardwick Memorial Chapel.
