John Dobrinski 83 of Charleroi, passed away on Tuesday January 21, 2025 at Mon Valley Care Center. Born in Van Voorhis on June 30, 1941, he was the son of John F. And Lenora Barclay Dobrinski.
John was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army and the National Guard during the 1960’s and 1970’s. He was retired from the former Mine #60 in Somerset Township and he was a member of Grace Methodist Church Coal Center. John was also a member of the UMWA Local #1197 and the Charleroi Belgian Club.
He is survived by a son Jon (Michele) Dobrinski of Irwin, 2 grandchildren; Jared and Macie Dobrinski, a step-son Donald (Sharon) Cassatt of Eldersburg, MD and 4 step-grandchildren; Shannon Cassatt , Taylor Trumble, Sarah Cassatt and Jordan Cassatt . John is preceded in death by his wife Marlene Dobrinski on October 12, 2024, 2 brothers; his twin James Dobrinski and Jared Dobrinski.
There will be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date at Monongahela Cemetery. Arragements have been entrusted to Leonard M. Pavlic Funeral Homes, Inc. 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
