John Joseph Drauchen, 75 of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025 after a brief illness with his family by his side. He was the husband of Karen (Breen) Drauchen with whom he shared the last 37 years of marriage.
He was born on October 21, 1949 in Lowell and was a son of the late John J and Palmena (Santarelli) Drauchen. He was raised in Lowell, graduating from Lowell High School class of 1967. Mr. Drauchen enlisted with the United States Army serving until his honorable discharge.
John worked as a warehouse manager for CR Bard in Wilmington for over twenty-five years before his retirement. A lifelong enthusiast of model railroading, he devoted countless hours to his favorite hobby. Known for his fun-loving spirit, John will be remembered for the joy he found in gathering with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Karen of Nashua, NH, he is survived by his two children, Cynthia Doherty and her husband, James of Naples, FL, and Tracy Peters and her husband, Charles of Middleboro; his grandchildren, Patrick and wife Ashley Doherty, Connor Doherty, Shanna and husband TJ Proulx; and six great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Louise Podanoffsky of York, ME; and many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Nicholas and Brittney Peters.

On Friday, August 15, 2025, all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 9-11 a.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 978-458-6816. His funeral service will follow the calling hours at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by procession to St. Patrick Cemetery for burial.
