John W Driever

John W., 92, a 59-year resident of Maywood, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Before retiring, John was the Executive Dining Room Manager for ITT in New York City. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church in Maywood and a member of the Maywood Fire Police during the 1980's. John's greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. An active man John loved vacationing near any body of water where he can be found canoeing, swimming, or white-water rafting. Proud of his Germany heritage John loved cheering on his Country's team for soccer, especially during the World Cup.
Cherished husband of Christine Driever (Schleichert). Beloved father of Rita Fiori and her husband Vincent, Robert Driever and his wife Lorelle, and Steven W. Driever and his wife Lisa. Treasured grandfather of Kristin Flynn and her husband Chris, Michele, Vince, Jarrett, Lindsay, Logan, and Travis. Dear great grandfather of Matthew and Caroline. Predeceased by his sisters, Ursula, Margaret, and Elizabeth.
The family will receive friends on Thursday December 29, 2022 from 4pm - 8pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am, Friday December 30, 2022 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church 400 Maywood Avenue Maywood. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
