John Jason Eggers

John Jason Eggers, the most loving soul, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the age of 51. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Eggers and Faye Reeves Jordan; his grandparents, Samuel B. Reeves, Flora Sharpe Reeves, Odie Eggers, and Frances Simmons Eggers.  Loving survivors include his stepfather, Terry Jordan; loving sister, Jennifer Eggers Burgans (Brad); nieces, Heaven Lindsey, Katlyn Sherrer; great nieces and nephew, Willow Lindsey, Sebastian Lindsey; his half-brother, Charles Eggers, and his children, Cameron Eggers and Dustin Eggers.  

Born with cerebral palsy, Jason was a survivor from birth and defied all odds by walking at age 6.  He had an impeccable memory and could recall almost anything he heard.  He graduated from Charles Henderson High School, class of 1991, to a standing ovation when he was walking across the stage.  Folks all around town knew Jason and liked to see him riding his bicycle, laughing, and visiting the locals.  He loved life and enjoyed watching movies, playing music, and sharing photo albums.  He appreciated history and would watch cowboy shows and practice gunslinging.  He cherished his large family and lifelong friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
