On December 14, 1974, John married the love of his life, Terry Cohen Fayard. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising four wonderful children. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took immense pride in his family. John is survived by his belov ed wife, Terry; his children, John Ferdinand Fayard III (Angela), Jill Fayard Buck (Corey), Kelsey Fayard Newberry (Blake), and Adam Logan Fayard (Kayla); and his ten cherished grandchildren: Abby Fayard, John (Jackson) Fayard IV, Bode Buck, Kahi Buck, Aspen Newberry, Koah Buck, Oaklee Newberry, Easton Newberry, Otto Fayard, and Baby Fayard (due August 2025, child of Kayla and Adam), who will carry on his legacy of love and strength.
John's presence was a guiding light in the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and the wisdom he imparted to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His family finds comfort in knowing that his love and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to be touched by his life.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:30 a.m., and Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic School in memory of John "Jack" Fayard Jr.
These donations will assist underprivileged students at St. Stanislaus Catholic School in his honor.
