John Alexander Feeney

John Alexander Feeney, "Alex" died on Monday, November 17 at his home in Mendham, NJ. at
the age of 51, after learning only recently that he had advanced cancer.
He was born on March 22, 1974 in Livingston, NJ. Alex grew up in Chatham NJ and went to
the local schools, enjoying the fun a orded by a place with a small town feel and lots of kids.
He kept many of these friends for the rest of his life. He graduated from Chatham High School
in 1993 and went on to the University of Hartford, graduating four years later. Alex's career was
spent in the securities industry, at GMS Group in East Hanover.
He was a municipal bond trader and had a long and satisfying career. His kindness and
generosity were well known. Alex had a soft spot for rescue dogs and shared his life with
several memorable canine friends, the two best being the infamous Sammy and Wally. Alex
was renowned for his great parties, and at Christmas he pulled out all the stops- decorating,
hosting and enjoying the season. Another passion was vacationing and fishing in North
Carolina with Captain Tom, and enjoying the family fun when everyone convened for a few
weeks in the summer.
Alex was preceded in death by his beloved father. He is survived by his loving mother and his
brother and very best friend, Daniel Feeney, wife Amy and their three children. In addition, His
Uncle Walter "Skip" Reinhard, wife Suzan and their two children; his Uncle Jack Reinhard, wife
Vicki and their 4 children; and his Aunt Tracy Baltz, husband David and their three children.
This is just the tip of the iceberg that comprises the "Reinhard Army" of support and love that
encircled Alex his whole life. Thomas and Cindy Reinhard and their three children and
spouses, and Beth and Brad Batistini and their two children and spouses round out the family.
Visitation at Wm. A. Bradley Funeral Homes, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ will be Monday,
November 24 from 6 to 8 pm.
A Funeral Mass to honor Alex Feeney will be held Tuesday, November 25 at Corpus Christi
Roman Catholic Church, 234 Southern Blvd. Chatham Township, NJ at 10. am with burial at Restland Memorial Park.
