John was born on February 23, 1927 and passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019. He attended grade school west of town in District 32, where he graduated from 8th grade in 1941. In his retirement years, after morning Rosary, John and Lerain would head up to Sandstone for breakfast on Tuesday. He is survived by children Kathy (Don) Fiedler, Don (Geneva) Fix, Joyce (Mark) Sawatzky, Lee (Julaine) Fix, Vern (Lynn) Fix, Dixie (Troy) Libra, daughter-in-law Clair Fix, 22 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, siblings Mary Klar-Davis, Josephine (Lee) Knudson, Margert Plasek, Joe (Sharon) Fix, Dorothy Vavra, brothers-in-law Andrew Helmbrecht, Doran (Shirley) Gray, Bob (Diane) Gray, sisters-in-law Evelyn Walberg, (Diane) , Betty Boquist, Delores Johnson, Ellie (Carlie) Grell, many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Hinckley with Fr. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 5 until 7 P.M. at Tatting-Methven Funeral Home in Hinckley as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial wi.
