Mr. John Foskey, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and patriarch of the Foskey family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1929, in Aurora, North Carolina, to the late Connie and Jessie Foskey. From an early age, John learned the value of hard work and family while helping in his father's store. The only boy among ten children, he was deeply loved by his nine sisters, and he cherished each of them in return. In 1954, John married the love of his life, Mrs. Lillian "Lil" Foskey. Together, they built a life grounded in faith, laughter, and devotion. Their marriage was a shining example of partnership and commitment.
Though Lillian passed away nine years before him, she remained ever present in his heart. In 1964, John moved his family to Warminster, Pennsylvania, where he began his career with The Prudential Insurance Company. A man of vision and perseverance, he also founded and operated a successful family janitorial services business, which he led with integrity and pride. Beyond his work, John was devoted to bringing people together. More than fifty years ago, he established the Foskey Family Reunions cherished tradition that continues to unite generations in love and remembrance. John lived a life filled with dignity, purpose, love, and gratitude.
He enjoyed reading the newspaper daily and was a loyal fan of Philadelphia's sports teams, especially his beloved Phillies. In 2017, John made his home with his son John (Mike) Foskey and daughter-in-law Clarice, who cared for him with deep love, commitment, and compassion. John leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, John (Mike) Foskey and Gary Keith Foskey; grandchildren Vanessa Nicole Foskey Macklin (husband Tyrone), Anyssa Wolfe (husband John), and Desmen Foskey; great-grandchildren Kearyn and Cassius Wolfe and Michael Antonio Macklin; Vanessa's mother, Kim Foskey; and Anyssa and Desmen's mother, Regina Peace. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who genuinely loved him. In addition to his wife and parents, John was predeceased by his beloved sisters: Mabel Thompson, Jessie Dove, Caroline Getson, Myrtle McCoy, Arizona Turner, Betty Mathis, Cindi Cunningham, Delsie Isler, and Joyce Ball. He leaves behind a proud legacy as the patriarch of the Foskey family's man of strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. Though he has reunited with his beloved Lil in eternal rest, the family bond he nurtured and the traditions he began will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
