John Robert Franks Sr.

John Robert Franks Sr., age 83, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 in the comfort of his own home in Verbena, Al, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 17, 1940 to his parents, John "Jack" Joseph Franks and Lenore Franks, both have preceded him in passing. John is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Franks; children, Sherri Cain (Bob) of Orlando, FL, Barry Franks (Alicia) of Clanton, AL, Erica Beadlecomb (Tommy) of Clanton, AL, and Derrick Wright (Candace) of Clanton, AL; grandchildren, Kyle Toms, Aaron Franks, Colby Franks, Lacey Drake, Andy Drake, Kaitelyn Beadlecomb, Bria Beadlecomb, Karleigh Wright, Wheylyn Wright, and due in March Jameson Wright; great grandchildren, Kolton Toms and Kyleigh Toms; brother, Don Franks (Carmen); sister, Bobbie Misheler; and host of nieces and nephews. John served in the US Air Force for 20 years and later on retired from the State of Alabama as a Correctional Officer. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
