John "Jack" Cameron Fraser III, aged 62, departed this world to be with God on June 19, 2024. He was a
devoted father to Jacquelyn and Cameron, whom he cherished beyond measure and of whom he was so
proud. Born to RADM John Cameron Fraser Jr. and the late Annette Bair Fraser in 1961, Jack was deeply
loved and admired by his sisters Julie and Jenna. Jack's family meant the world to him.
Jack's legacy extended beyond family bonds.
Jack was the Captain of his High School Football team and was nicknamed "The White Knight" because
he always wore all white on the football field from his uniform, shoes, and even his towel (much to his
mother's dismay having to do his laundry!)
He was Educated as a professional engineer, earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. Later,
he pursued an MBA at Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University.
A distinguished US Navy Veteran, Jack served as a Seabee in the Civil Engineer Corps, following in his
proud father's footsteps. His deployments to Vieques, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa for exciting
construction missions left lasting memories. He was the Officer in charge of a 40-man Seabee operation
in a school and roadbuilding program to assist the development of American Soma as the World War II
Trust Territories structure was ending. He enjoyed that deployment and made many friends for life,
including Miss Samoa whom he dated.
Jack was the Head of the International Engineering firm Law Engineering (which later merged with
MACTEC), Offices in San Diego, the West Coast and Pacific areas prior to starting his own business,
ADVANTECH. As the proud owner, President, and CEO of Advantech GS Enterprises in San Diego,
California, he made significant contributions to the nation.
San Diego, with its ocean views and beautiful climate, became his cherished home. Throughout his
career and life, Jack forged lifelong friendships.
Jack's talents extended beyond engineering; he excelled in artistic pursuits, including interior design and
poetry. His unwavering positivity and commitment to personal growth endeared him to many.
Hysterically funny and charming, Jack leaves behind a void that his friends will profoundly feel.
Jack departed at the pinnacle of his life-a loving father to incredible children, a beautiful oceanfront
home, a sweet car, and a thriving company.
