John J Gaia III (aka Bubba, The Concierge and Loving husband, son and father) of Southaven, MS died peacefully on March 11, 2024 with his family by his side.
John was born on March 9, 1970, to Johnny Gaia Jr and Patricia Corrigan (Sealy) in Memphis, TN.
He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff MO.in 1989. He received a scholarship for golf at Shelby State College where he earned his associate degree and played on the golf team.
After living the bachelor life he met Beth (Wolford) Gaia in November of 2015 and they married on July 13, 2019.
John touched so many lives and lived to serve those that he loved. He was the event and vacation planner. He loved the Memphis Tigers and Mizzou Tigers. His passion was playing golf and worked many years in the golf business as well as sales. In his younger years he was a pitcher on the baseball team, A QB in football, ran track and played golf on his high school golf team. John was inducted into the MO sports hall of fame in 2022 for playing golf.
He would say "Baby, I'm an athlete!"
John is survived by his loving wife Beth Gaia of Southaven, MS. His Daughter Aubrey Gaia and Son Conner Gaia. Stepdaughter Veronica Mayo, Stepson Jacob Mayo and grandson Edwin Haycock.His Mother Patricia Corrigan (Tim), Sisters Toya McGraw (Sammy) Shelly Barnes and nephew Sean Moore,
He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Gaia Jr and stepfather Tim Corrigan.
Services will be held at Memorial Park funeral home in Memphis, TN at 1:00 pm. Viewing will be immediately prior for 1 hour. There will be a reception to follow at his residence.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donation to be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
