John Michael Gedemer

John Michael Gedemer, age 60, of Kimberly, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022. John was born on April 8, 1962, to the late Frederick "Fred" Joseph Gedemer and Mary Ann (Prudlow) Gedemer at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. He graduated from Appleton West High School (1980), attended Marquette University, and Fox Valley Technical College. John worked at Wisconsin Tissue-Asten Forming Fabrics and SCA Paper before finding his passion as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. He was a hard worker, unselfishly serving others with love, care, and compassion. John enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, walking daily at High Cliff State Park, and taking beautiful scenic photos. He could fix and build anything. His greatest love of all was his son Nicholas John Gedemer. John and Nic were not just father and son, they were best friends, making many memories fishing, hunting, boating, camping, doing mission work together and most recently hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The love and bond they shared was above all. John's smile and humor will be dearly missed by his son Nic (Amy) Gedemer of Allen, Texas, his step-daughter Alyssa (Christina) Alcantar of Osseo, WI, his significant other Tammy Brock of Appleton, WI, his 2 sisters: Mary (Mark) Gedemer-Jensen of Racine, WI, Jane Latz of Carthage, Indiana, his 4 brothers: Bill (Marilyn) Gedemer of West Allis, Larry Gedemer of Minocqua, Bob (Ann) Gedemer of Medina, and Richard (Julie) Gedemer, and many other family and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Ann Gedemer of Appleton, WI and his brother-in-law Gregory Latz. A service will be held for John on Friday, November 18th at 3pm, at Pathways Church, 311 W. Evergreen Dr. Appleton WI 54913. A visitation will be held at church prior to the service, beginning at 1pm. His arrangements were entrusted to Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Appleton, 606 N Oneida St., Appleton, WI 54911. John, we will always carry your memory in our hearts-you will be missed and never forgotten.
