John Philip Geisler was the youngest of five children, he was born in Ohio to the late Donald F. Geisler and Delores Marie Geisler, on October 6, 1960. He departed this earthly life on August 13, 2025. John believed in God but was not affiliated with a church. John was educated in the Davidson County Public School System and graduated from, Madison High School. John began working while in high school working various jobs. He had his own cleaning business, he worked at Vol State University in Gallatin, TN as a janitor. The job he enjoyed the most was his job at Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson. He was hired originally as a painter/janitor and then promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor. John worked for over 10 years at The Hermitage as a very devoted employee, until they decided to outsource his department. John was then hired by Vanderbilt Children's Hospital as an Environmental Tech 1. He worked there until health issues caused him to have to retire. John and his spouse, Jerome Wright were together for 37 years and legally married in 2018. John was a smart, funny, and a very giving individual who loved his family and cherished his friends. He enjoyed working with his hands, he was an artist who loved to paint, gardening, cooking and baking. John loved the holidays and each year he would start thinking of what he wanted to make as gifts for everyone and begin making what came to mind. He would spend hours working on the items he would be giving because he was a perfectionist and wanted everything perfect. John leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse E. Jerome Wright, brother and sister Ricky and Cathy McPherson, their children Josh (Wanda) Akers, Crystal (Daniel) Brock, Matthew (Jessica) McPherson, their children, Rachel, Lancer, Dylan, Robin Geisler, Jaimi Dixon (Garret), Bobbi Williams, Dawn Marie Kelly (Craig & Mason), and Donnie (Stella) Geisler. He had devoted friends that were like a second family, Phil & Kit Rugh, Theo Crump, Cleadas Silvas & Ronnie Harris (deceased), Nate Mitchell & Dwayne Mitchell, John Plummer & Tim Kaltenbach. A host of other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from the Ohio area.
