Obituary of John P. Golas
John P. Golas, age 56, of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
He was born in Norristown, PA on December 5, 1967, the son of John Peter Golas and Dorothy (Zukowski) Golas.
John was a lifelong resident of Conshohocken and former member St. Mary's RC Church of Conshohocken. A lifetime of curiosity led John "Johnny" to enjoy his hobbies tinkering with electronics, small engines, and cars, particularly Jeeps and four wheel drive vehicles. He also enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, always looking for a bargain. He held a ham radio license and enjoyed attending "hamfests" (ham radio swap meets).
He is survived by his parents, John and Dorothy Golas of Conshohocken; sister, Jean (Michael) Grosick of Phoenixville; brother, Jeffrey Golas of Blue Bell; and three nephews Michael, Louis and William Grosick.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 10:30 AM from St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday morning 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Church.
Interment will take place in St. Benedict Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
