With deepest and profound sympathy, we announce the transition of Mr. John W. Green, Jr. who entered into rest December 29, 2024.
Mr. Green was a native of Aiken County.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories and honor his legacy his wife Winnona Green of SC, 2 Children Michael and Harriet Green and 1 sister Barbara Jordan of NY, 3 step-children Angelique and Harmon of SC and Christian Morrison of NJ, 6 grandchildren Courtlan of NY, Brandon of PA, Michael, II of FL, Chanelle and Mildred (Evee) of NY and Chris of TX, 2 step grandchildren Ashanti and Tamara Merritt of NY, 9 great-grandchildren Seven of Canada, Xavier and Skylar of FL, Navienna, Sia, Sovereign, Syra, Elena and Adriana of NY, and 2 step great grandchildren Kameron and Simone of NY, 1 sister-in-law Vickie Tarvin and a distant cousin Corrine Johnson (97 years old) of SC and a few more distant relatives.
John's passing was preceded by his first wife, Mildred A. Green on July 25, 1987, his stepson, Ravin Morrison on September 22, 2018 and his son, John (Mitch) Greene on December 28, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel.
