John Michael Hall

John Michael Hall unexpectedly passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 26. He was a graduate of Starrs Mill High School with state-level trophies in swimming as well as water polo. He went on to graduate as a Sigma Nu with a degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduating, he gained multiple pilot certificates, including his flight instructor certificate, and proceeded to provide flight instruction in Hartford, CT as well as in the greater Atlanta area. He loved working with his students and found passion in sharing his knowledge, appreciation, and aptitude. Most recently, he had been living in Clyde, North Carolina near his mother's family, while working at Bearwaters in Canton, NC.
While he is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers - Dr. Frank "Bud" Morrison (maternal) and Harry Hall (paternal), John Michael is survived and greatly missed by his many surviving relatives: Grandmothers Julie Hall (paternal) & Joan Morrison(maternal); father Vance Hall & wife, Jill Finney Hall as well as his mother Lee Hall & partner, Kevin Capati; siblings Alex Hall (partner Nick Lopez), Jordan Hall (husband Zach Contreras) with Addie and Jacob, his niece and nephew, Meghan Usry (husband Luke Usry) and niece Emmaline, and Kellan Finney McGill (husband Jared McGill). Extended family includes but is not limited to aunts/uncles and cousins; Suzanne & Miles Supola (Carson and Mackinney), Erin and Dick Settles (Carly and Wyatt), and Greg and Donna Hall (Jessie and David) as well as many, many more family and friends.
He was passionate about music, enjoyed any and all sporting events, working out, and spending time with friends and his niece and nephew. His loss will be felt by so many as he was loved by so many. His smile, easy-going, and always positive personality lit up every room and our lives will never be the same. His presence will be irreplaceable although the many memories he made with friends and family over the years will carry on in the hearts of all that were blessed enough to cross his path.

A Memorial Service will be held at Crawford-Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Canton, NC on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 7:00pm with family and friend visitation beginning at 6:00pm. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Peachtree City, GA on Sunday, June 25th at the Kedron Field House at 2:00pm.
