John J. "Jack" Hall III

John J. Hall, III, "Jack", age 67, of Wilmington, DE passed away on November 6, 2025. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Carol (MacLennan) and John J. Hall, Jr. Jack graduated from William Penn High School and spent his career working as a forklift operator, formerly employed by Sears and Weitron prior to his retirement. Jack enjoyed many years at the beach during the summer months and sharing stories around the campfire at Gulls Way Campground in Dagsboro with his family and friends. He was a member of the local American Legion Stahl Post #30. Most importantly, Jack cherished the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was very proud of having the title of Dad, but even more proud of having the title of Pop.
Jack is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary C. Hall; his children and their spouses, John IV and Brittany Hall, and Catherine and Sean Fitzpatrick; his grandchildren, John James Hall V, Brooks Michael Fitzpatrick and Beckett Hall Fitzpatrick; his sister, Kathleen "Kathy" Carmeans (Wayne); and his sister-in-law, Teresa Williams (Rick); in addition to his niece, nephew, cousins and extended family, including his longtime friends Larry, Matt, Dina and Pat. Jack will be forever remembered by all those that loved him.
A visitation will be held at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 12 P.M. on Sunday November 16th. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's name to Faithful Friends Animal Society or St. John the Beloved Catholic Church.
