John Daniel Haney III

John Daniel Haney, III, 78, passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 at his home in Georgetown, South Carolina. He was born on February 23, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late John D. Haney, Jr. & Ada Eunice Philemon Haney.
Along with his parents, John is reunited in passing with his brother, Tony Dean Haney; sister, Rita Cash Haney; and his beloved k9, Dude.
John proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, John went on to enjoy the finer things in life. The, "Jack of all Trades," John truly was, led him to be a successful entrepreneur and the owner of several of his own companies. His eye for detail and passion for helping those in need, translated to his everyday tasks. John never met a stranger and would gladly offer the shirt from his back to anyone in need. In his free time, John enjoyed fishing! He also enjoyed collecting things and bartering with his friends. Above all else, John loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish John's memory are his adoring children, John D. Haney, IV of North Carolina, Mary Vause and her husband, Michael of Georgetown, SC & J.R Haney and his wife, Katherine of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Damian Boggs, Lisa Renee Rhodes, Anthony Clyde Boggs, Jr. & Jesse Cordell Mims; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Kiser of North Carolina; his beloved cat, Sierra; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of John's life will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 at the Georgetown VFW, 711 Church St. Georgetown, SC 29440 from 12:00PM until 4:00PM.
