John Henry Haws Jr.

John Henry Haws was born July 20, 1952 in Trenton NJ. He departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Trenton, NJ at home.
John was educated in the Trenton Public school system. John met and married the late Brenda Strickland in 1971. This union was blessed with one son John T. Haws.
John enjoyed playing music on his guitars and singing, he had a wonderful and smooth voice, and he loved singing Earth, Wind and Fire songs. He was also a diehard Eagles fan.
He was employed as a cook at The College of New Jersey.
John loved helping his family and friends. He was always available whenever someone needed a ride. He was uber before there was uber.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Mary L. Haws; grandparents, Robert and Arlevia Barr; brothers, Emmanuel Haws, Robert Haws and Larry Haws; sisters, Freddie Richardson-Guerra and Arletha Jackson.
John leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved son, John T. Haws; granddaughter, Jon-nay Haws of Oxford, Georgia; brothers, Thomas Haws, of Trenton, NJ, Clifford Haws of Willingboro, NJ, and Doug Johnson of New York; sisters, Jacqueline Crawford, Brook Beatty and Patricia Brooks all of Trenton NJ, Linda Haws of Willingboro, NJ, Shirley Haws and Mary Haws of Lancaster, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very dear aunt, Lucy Spady, and dear friend, Carol Stephens.
His memory will live on with family and friend always.
