John P. Heinz, 88, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Clintonville, died Friday, October 17, 2025 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 9, 1937 in Aurora, IL, the son of Frank and Cecilia (Kuss) Heinz. On October 10, 1959 he married Dorothy Trompeter and they had six children. He later married Kristine Lehman on December 12, 1992 and she preceded him in death on November 25, 2021.

John farmed his entire life in Oakfield and Clintonville areas. He enjoyed playing moderate pitch softball, bowling, watching Johnny race dirt track, and farming.

He is survived by his seven children, Deb Becker of Deltona, FL, Janice (Mark) Franzen of Paradise Valley, AZ, John (Robin) Heinz of Green Bay, Donna (Glenn) Schrage of New Holstein, Dave (Tara) Heinz of Belleville, Bob (Tammy) Heinz of Waupun, and Mary Kay (Andrew Platta) Heinz of Grafton; two step children, Barry (Becky) Hoewisch and Tony Hoewisch; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; his sister, Rita Labra; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kristine; brother, Frank Heinz; and sister, Linda Pomikal.

The visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lake Emily Cemetery, Fox Lake.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of SSM Hospice and Harbor Haven by his “sweeties and boss man” for the care and compassion they have given dad for almost the last two years, and everyone that came to visit and play cards.

Memorials in John’s name are appreciated to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Manawa, SSM Hospice or Harbor Haven.
