John Holbrookknown lovingly to many as Johnny or Hobopassed away peacefully at the age of 65 after a brief stay at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. A proud New Englander through and through, Johnny was a devoted son, a beloved brother, and the kind of uncle everyone hopes to have. Born to Frances Burns and Charles Holbrook, Johnny was one of eight siblings But his greatest joy came from being Uncle Johnnya role he embraced with his whole heart. He had a unique ability to make every niece and nephew feel like they were his favorite. Whether it was remembering a small detail about their lives, cracking a joke at just the right moment, or showing up when it mattered most, Johnny was there. Always. He was famous in the family for his one-of-a-kind gift-givingthoughtful, quirky, and perfectly tailored to the person receiving it. From a funny T-shirt to a treasured sports collectible, Johnny always knew how to make people feel seen and loved. A loyal fan of all New England sports, Johnny cheered loudest for the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. Game days werent just about the teamsthey were about time together, snacks on the table, and good-natured banter with whoever sat next to him. Johnny is survived by his mother Frances, his seven siblings and their spouses as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
