John Guy "Jack" Hudson, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his daughter's home. Formerly, Jack resided in Dundalk, MD. He was the husband of the late Louise (Waltmire) Hudson.
Born, September 7, 1941 in Crisfield, MD, a son of the late John and Mollie Hudson. He retired from the Annapolis Naval Academy and was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam.
Jack is survived by daughters Ruth Reidel of Red Bank, VA; Susan Reidel of Wrightsville, PA; and son John Kissinger of York, PA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as sisters Kay Dula of Lexington, SC and Becky Ruta of Baltimore, MD and brother Henry Hudson of Wrightsville, PA.
He was predeceased by his sister Mary Harrison.
Jack was an avid fisherman, earning numerous citations for fresh and saltwater catches throughout Maryland and Virginia where he enjoyed camping trips with the family.
John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc is in charge of arrangements. A private military burial at Fort Indiantown Gap will take place at a later date.
The family would like to offer thanks to his special caretaker Jewel Forrest for the help and care that she provided, Enhabit Home Health and to the team from Hospice & Community Care.
