John B. Iadeluca, age 89, of Tidioute, formerly of Erie passed away at his residence on January 29, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1935, a son of the late Menotti and Amelia (Cassano) Iadeluca.
Spending time with his family was something that gave him great pride. John loved being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and exploring the Allegheny National Forest. He was a lifetime member of the NRA who enjoyed watching western movies and reading about the Civil War. He retired as a paper maker from Hammermill Paper Co. after 40 years of service. He built two homes for his family, one in Millcreek, and the residence in Tidioute. John also did cement work with his father for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Orvy Iadeluca, JoAnne Merritt and Elaine Iadeluca.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy (Ligas) Iadeluca; two sons, John M. Iadeluca (Beth) and Dr. David B. Iadeluca (Noelle); six grandchildren, Amanda Cypher (Jaime), Bryan Iadeluca (Chris), Hannah, Gabriel, Joshua and Gianna Iadeluca; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., on Sunday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. and may attend a prayer there on Monday, Feb. 3 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
