John (Jack) Frederick Haefeli Jr, 97, husband of the late Beverly Ruth (Swift) Haefeli passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy NY.

Born June 7, 2028, in Queens, New York, he was the son of John Frederick Haefeli Sr. and Frances (Higgins) Haefeli, brother of Frank (Mary) Haefeli.

Jack attended Baldwin High School and then graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. He served during the Korean conflict with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. After the service he started working in the construction profession. He was an avid stamp collector at the Fort Orange Stamp Club and very active at the churches he attended including Madison Ave Presbyterian, Bethany Reformed Church in Albany and Hamilton Union Presbyterian in Guilderland.

He is survived by sons - J. William Haefeli and Fred (Sylvia) Haefeli and daughter Nancy Geller. Grandchildren Laura Peters, Doug (Elizabeth) Haefeli, Jeff (Linda) Haefeli, Franci Geller, Samara Geller and John Geller. Carrie Britt, Jamie (Matt) Fabrizio. Great grandchildren Anastasia Haefeli, Alexander Haefeli, Lucas Haefeli, Logan Haefeli, Oliver Workman, Ryker Narcavage, Georgiana Narcavage and Phineas Fabrizio.

The family plans on a private service. Jack will be buried at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery
