Jack and I coached golf together at MHS for many years. He was an awesome mentor. He will be missed by his many students, golfers, and friends. I know I would not have been the golf coach I became without his guidance. Rest in peace Jack. I will be right behind you and I will challenge you in a game of golf. But be prepared! Alicia will will be there too and she was a scratch golfer! lol! See you soon!! You were such a good friend and mentor!

Jack was one of the Old Guard at West Junior High School when I signed my first teaching contract to teach Minnetonka in 1964. We worked together in the same office, yet a different department for most of my career. Jack was an active member of the teacher's association. We attended a few national MEA national conventions together including one in San Francisco when Nick Duff was running for national president. One evening, after a night of celebrating, we encountered a llama being guarded by a Germn shepherd, tethered to a parking meter. Honest! It was night never to be forgotten, among many other occasions when I learned to appreciate and love Jack, his wit, intelligence and ability to interact with other people.
