John Kazanecki Sr.

John Kazanecki, Sr., passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. John was born in Elizabeth, NJ, on August 1, 1941, before moving to Madison Park and finally planting roots in Pennsville, NJ. He served his country from 1959-1963 in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Long Beach, USS Enterprise, and USS Forrestal during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
John was the provider for his family. He owned his own electrical company and also worked for PSE&G as a Senior Nuclear Supervisor, a proud retiree in 1997 at the age of 55. He enjoyed spending time with family around the pool, completing his daily crossword puzzle and golfing with friends.
John was preceded in death by his wife Alice, his son John Jr., his brother Theodore and his parents, Anne and Charles I. Kazanecki. He leaves behind his son Jim Kazanecki and his wife Tina, grandson Tyler, daughter Susan Winnington and her husband Dennis, granddaughter Hayden, daughter-in-law Sveta and grandson Ivan, his brother Charles and his wife, Brigitte and sister Patricia Engesser and her husband, Joseph and extended families.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Inspira Medical Center in Salem for their compassionate care.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ. The viewing will begin at 10 AM with the service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Lawnside Cemetery. adamsfuneralhome.org
