John C. Dickinson, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2025.
Born in Cold Spring, NJ, John was the son of Lloyd and Edna (Stewart) Dickinson. After graduating from Asbury College, he earned his Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of Kentucky.
John dedicated more than 43 years to Ranch Hope, faithfully serving as a social worker and counselor. His deep compassion and steadfast faith guided his work as he ministered to the hearts and lives of young people and families.
A devoted follower of Christ, John was a longtime member of Sharptown Church. He was also active in the Gideons and Faith & Freedom Coalition of N.J.
In addition, he devoted his time to street ministry-sharing the gospel and offering meals, prayers, and encouragement to those in need. His life was a reflection of his favorite calling: to love God and love others.
John is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jerrine "Jerri" (DeHaven) Dickinson; his children, Bradley (Sandy), John Jr., Deanne Conners, and Lori Creedon; grandchildren, Amanda, April, Ethan, Emma, Austin, Ryan, Devin, Collin, Andrew, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Landon, Judah, Landon and Sebastian. He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Edna Dickinson, who lived in West Cape May.
A celebration of John's life and faith will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Presbyterian Church in Woodstown. A memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at the family's convenience.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Ranch Hope, 45 Sawmill Rd., Alloway, NJ 08005, so that John's lifelong mission of hope and restoration may continue.
