John Jackson Kenley, age 97, of Fishers, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1928 to Howard A. Kenley Sr. and Alethea Lillian (Foshee) Kenley in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was known to family and friends as Jack. Jack married the love of his life, Nancy Lee (Whitesell) Kenley on October 7, 1951. They shared 74 happy years together.

The family moved to Noblesville in 1940 and established Kenley's Market. At the age of 12, Jack began his employment of 32 years at the market and continued until retirement. For 20 years, he served a partnership with his brother, Howard A. Kenley Jr.

Jack was a graduate of Noblesville High School, class of 1946. He served as a member of the National Guard, Noblesville Unit, Battery B, 139th Field Artillery, from 1948 to 1954.

He was an avid reader and his hobby was visiting antique stores, collecting old books. Jack enjoyed nature and enjoyed spending time at their log cabin in Brown County and their summers in Northern Michigan.

He is survived by several nieces & nephews, Luke (Sally) Kenley, David (Jacky) Kenley, Carol Jo (Sherman) Gumz, Jim (Judy) Kenley, Tom Kenley, Robert (Barbara) Kenley, Pam (Greg) Cammack, Greg Swhier, and Dan (Jenna) Faust; and his sister-in-law, Sherry (Ray) Faust.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Kenley; and brothers, Charles Robert Kenley and Howard A. Kenley Jr.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with funeral services at 2:00 pm, on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Pastor Dick Judson will officiate.  Jack will be laid to rest next to Nancy at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, with Pastor Barbara Kenley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville, 1700 Conner Street,, Noblesville, IN 46060 (https://bgcni.org).
