John Conrad Kruse was born 8-9-58 to Herbert William Kruse and Ruth Esther (Krieger)Kruse in Rockford, IL. The family eventually moved to Springfield, IL. John was a born athlete and started playing hockey at a young age and he traveled extensive to Hockey Camps in Michigan and Canada. He has a prized picture with Gordie Howe.
John Graduated from Springfield High School in 1976 and made life-long friends while in Springfield.
John Graduated from Arizona State University and moved to Colorado where he met and married Patricia Funke February 16,1985. They had two children that were his pride and joy, Courtney Ryan and Chase. John got great pleasure from their sporting events and travel hockey with his son, Chase. Their education and success were very important to John.
John was a self-made man and started a very successful business Chase Filters and traveled extensively and enjoyed properties where the family had special times.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Elan David, and Hazel Esther, and his son, Chase.
John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney (Ben) Baranes, Grand Children, Elan David and Hazel Esther, his son Chase, his sister, Catherine C. Bradley and Ex-wife Patti Funke.
Graveside Service will be at Littleton Cemetery on 5-2-2025 at 11:00 am for Family and Friends. Horan & Conaty Funeral Home in Centennial, CO is in charge of arrangements.
