John J. Lazar

John J. Lazar, 75, of Charleroi, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 in his home. A son of the late Andrew and Thelma Hall Lazar, he was born in N. Charleroi on January 9, 1949. Protestant by faith, he had been a resident of Charleroi for the past 45 years and had formerly resided in Monessen and Belle Vernon. John retired in 2011 from Thermo Rock in Monongahela. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nettie Puhnaty Lazar, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tracy and Adam Biles of Fallowfield Twp., Terri Lazar of New Eagle and Tonya and Josh Santina of Monongahela, two sisters, Dolly (Jim) McClurg of Rostraver Twp. and Carol Ann (Roger) George of Norwalk, OH, two brothers, Clell (Diane) Lazar of East Lake, OH and James (Jackie) Lazar of Warren, MI and six grandchildren, Alaina Biles, Ava Biles, Emma Santina, Miranda Santina, Harper Santina and Eden Lazar. He is also survived by his furry friend, Sherlock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Todd Lazar in 1977, a daughter, Tammy Lazar in 1992 and a sister, Andrea Cline in 2013. There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
