John �Kenny� Leverage, Sr., 68, of New Castle DE passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Charles Franklin Leverage and Anna Elizabeth (Wagner) Leverage Gefre. He was predeceased by his beloved dog: Bow-Bosie. Kenny retired from Chrysler after 28 years of service where he was a member of UAW local # 1183. He enjoyed watching drag racing and football. Kenny is survived by his loving wife: Rose M. (Capicciotti) Alfree Leverage. He will be dearly missed by his children: John K., Jr. and wife Renee of Oakland FL, Bonnie L. Bennett and husband Bruce of Clermont FL, Theresa M. Janney and husband Paul of Oakland FL; stepchildren: Cindy M. Stocktill and husband Kenny of Elkton MD and Charles �Ebbie� Alfree III of New Castle DE; sister: Kathryn Anne Duncan and husband Joseph of Townsend DE; stepfather: Peter Gefre of Yakima WA; grandchildren: Brittany and Matthew Bennett, Brandon and Sarah Leverage, Skylar, Noah and Mia Janney and step grandson Anthony Davis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:30 on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Gebhart Funeral Home of New Castle, 531 Delaware St., New Castle DE 19720. Calling time will be from 9:30 until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Church Building Fund, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720.
