JOHN RICHARD LINK, former resident of Ridgefield, was born on November 6, 1946; and in a cyclical destiny, he departed this world on his 75th birthday, in 2021, at University Hospital, in Newark, New Jersey, with friends at his bedside. John Link was well-known as an award-winning actor in low-budget horror movies, including, "Bigfoot: Blood Trap", "The Killer Clown Meets the Candy Man", "Revenge of the Devil Bat", "Bite School", and "Hollywood Warrioress", frequently starring with Conrad Brooks, of the Ed Wood crew. You could meet John Link, as he was a perennial celebrity guest, at the biannual Chiller Theatre Expo, in Parsippany, New Jersey. John Link was a musical performer with "David Peel and the Lower East Side Band" at New York Rock 'N' Roll venues. He hosted the Blog Talk Radio program, "The John Link Show," which can be heard on-line in archives. John Link was part of a stand-up comedy team with Edward X Young, with whom he performed in over 25 movies and numerous live stage gigs. With an extensive library on the subjects, John Link was often consulted as a B-movie film historian, as well as a paranormal investigator. John Link was a graduate of Ridgefield Memorial High School. John Link was predeceased by his beloved mother, Anne Link, whom he cared for, at home, until she was 99 years old. John Link is survived by his brother, Frederick Roy Link, several cousins, and the many friends and fans, who loved him. All are invited to pay respects at an open gathering at John Link's interment, next to the grave of his father, John Link Sr., at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 10 Serpentine Road, Tenafly, New Jersey 07670, at Section Holy Cross, Row W, Grave 81, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 1:00pm.
