Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch John Wesley Luckett, Sr., 75, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2025. A committal service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy for approximately 8 years. After dedicating over 25 years as any employee of Fed Ex, he retired and enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella M. and William S. Luckett; grandchildren, Jessica Schile and Ryan Schile; and brother, Ricky Luckett. John is survived by his son, John W. Luckett, Jr. (Melanie) of Olive Branch; daughter, Samantha C. Schile (Scott) of Millington, TN; grandchildren, Katie Green (Jay) of Pascagoula, MS, Josh Luckett (Mary) of Rogers, AR, Connor Schile of Millington, and Patricia Lucket of Olive Branch; great-grandchildren, Brennon Green, Joey Green and Willow Green, all of Pascagoula, and Freddie Luckett of Rogers, AR; siblings, Bill Luckett of Weatherford, TX, Sandy Thomas of Memphis, TN, David Luckett of Corpus Christi, TX, and Tina Priestas of Memphis; former wife, Pam Prather of Olive Branch; stepchildren, Tammie Sweebe of Olive Branch, Joel Prather (Amanda) of Lamar, MS; step-grandchildren, Ashton Sweebe of Olive Branch, Richie Sweebe of Olive Branch, and Peyton Prather of Lamar. In lieu of traditional flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. In honor of John Luckett's service to our country, the flag of the United States Navy will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home the day of the service.
