John J Lynch Jr.

John J. Lynch Jr, of Falmouth and formerly of Cambridge, passed away March 30, 2023. He was 95 years old.
He was born in Cambridge to John and Katherine Lynch on April 7, 1927. He moved from Cambridge to Falmouth in 1958 where he began working at The Paul Peters Agency for his mentor William Peters. He eventually bought the business where he remained President and CEO until selling it in 2019. He was a former Town Meeting Member and a member of The Town Finance Committee. He was on the Board of Directors of the Falmouth Cooperative Bank and The Barnstable County Mutual Insurance Company.
John is survived by his six children John J. Lynch III (Debra) of Mashpee, Helen Phillips, Paula Lynch, Marjorie Sharpe (Dennis), Michael Lynch, all of Falmouth, and Mary Davis (Herbert) of Florida; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Helen and daughters Patricia Carvalho and Christine Mackin.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth. Falmouth. Burial is private.
