John Alexander Mangano, age 78, of Atkinson, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 21, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. A man of integrity, and quiet devotion, John leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and moments well-lived. His quiet strength and gentle humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Born in 1946 to the late Carmelo "Charlie" and Carmella (Giantonio) Mangano, John grew up with a strong foundation of love and discipline that guided him throughout his personal and professional life.
He shared 36 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Susan (Corriveau) Mangano, a partnership marked by deep affection, teamwork, and countless shared adventures. Together, they built a life full of joy, from their home in Atkinson to the sunny shores of Florida and the serene coastline of Plymouth.
John enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an Engineering Manager at BAE Systems, where he worked for over 35 years, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues through his leadership, insight, and innovative ideas.
Outside of work, John was known for his love of the beach, fishing, gardening, and leisurely rounds of golf with his Legends Country Club friends. A true "snow bird," he looked forward to escapes to warmer climates, hosting memorable Christmases in Florida for his Legends family and friends. He was known for his kind heart, quick wit and calming presence. Whether he was cycling through the Legends Country Club, casting a line, teeing off, or preparing a favorite recipe alongside Susan, John found happiness in the simple pleasures of life.
John is survived by his son, John Mangano, his daughter, Stacey Briggs, and her husband Jay, his granddaughters, Sophia and Ava Briggs, his sister Marion Raskow and her husband Tom, his brother Charles Mangano and his wife Andrea, his brother Brian Mangano and his wife Christine, his sister-in-law Susan Mangano, his brother-in-law Richard Corriveau, his brother-in-law Bruce Corriveau and wife Kate and his brother-in-law Brian Corriveau.
