John "Jack" Marmarella
Age 80 of West Deer Township, peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Beloved husband of 36 years to Crystal (Farr) Marmarella; loving father to Jason Marmarella (Scott); his former wife, Sandi Johns; cherished brother of Jean Moline (late Roger); also survived by many cousins and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Marmarella, and his parents, John and Lillian Marmarella.
Jack was a 1962 graduate of Fox Chapel High School. He was proud to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in February 1965 and was honorably discharged in February 1969. After the service, he became self-employed as a painting and wallpaper contractor. He was a perfectionist in his field and highly respected until his retirement in 2018.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the 12 noon service at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, the family respectfully requests donations to the West Deer Dog Shelter, 133 E. Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
