Some of John's fondest memories are his many childhood summers spent at Camp Whitcomb/Mason on Lake Keesus. Growing from camper to counselor, his experiences there instilled his love of lakes, watersports, and the outdoors.

John worked for 45 years as a meat cutter for A&P, Kohl's and other grocers until his retirement in 1993.
John was a proud member of the Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club for over 30 yrs. He will always be remembered as "Mr. Rogers", one of his first characters. John last water skied on his 90th birthday.
