John Ramer McComic, 92, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his residence. In his younger years, John served his country as a member of the Army and Air National Guard. He was an advanced HAM radio operator, operating under callsign “K4KAJ”. John is survived by his children, Katrina Rosa (Hermes) and Christopher McComic; his grandchildren, Katrina Mangum (Kenneth), Amy Turner (Brian), Bo Rosa, Rebecca Rosa, Deion Rosa, and John Patrick McComic; 18 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; and his cousin, Roger Mitchell (Anne). He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine McComic; 2 sons, John and William McComic; and his parents, Lucille Ramer and Robert Donald McComic. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
