John Meisner Obituary
John was born on October 27, 1946, in Macon, MO, the son of Chris M. and Eula Lavon (Stow) Meisner. He served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1970. John was united in marriage to Ruth Bradley on March 5, 1977 at the Methodist Church in Macon. He retired from the Bevier/Thomas Hill Coal Mine, as well as Operating Engineers out of Kansas City, MO.
John is survived by his wife Ruth of the home; four children, Tonya Legan and her husband Brock of Halfway, MO, Matthew Meisner and his wife Lori of Macon, MO, Jennifer Whitaker of Macon, MO, and John C. Meisner of Macon, MO; five grandchildren, Lianna, Lexi, Dustin, Drew, and Grant; three sisters, Jo Gregory and John, Bobbi Truitt, and June Vestal and Randy; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Lavon Meisner; siblings, Chris "Sonny" Meisner, Lewis Meisner, Gayla Ricci, Jack Meisner, and Neil Meisner.
No services at this time. The family suggests memorials to the Macon Food Pantry. Final resting place will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
